Spirituality is all about knowing what is unknown. An enquiry about why things are the way they are. This curiosity is very basic and most of us encounter this kind of enquiry at least once. This curiosity is enough for us to initiate a search. This search for unknown has always been there and will remain perpetually unless or until we get to the bottom of it. I personally feel that all advancement in science and technology is due to this search for unknown only. Had it not been there, we would not have progressed this much in any field. Since my childhood, I have always been curious about the questions like, who am I? What is my origin? What will be my end? Or will there be an end? Similarly the list goes on like, why I am the way I am? Why I was born here? What is the purpose of my life? What is God? Or is there a thing called God, anywhere? Why people suffer? Why there is unhappiness? Why there are diseases? If GOD is there and if he is all merciful and loves everybody, then why people suffer? Why he let them suffer?
So dear friends these are some of the mind boggling questions which Spirituality as a field dare to answer. Now the question is who is spiritual? Or rather how to be spiritual? Or is there any relation between religion and spirituality? Let us try to understand this.
Take an example of any electronic gadget like cell phone. There is always a manual accompanied with the gadget which tells you about host of activities and precautions which you should take care while handling your cell phone. Like, How to use it? What are its features and limitations? How much is the life? And similarly many more things. So religion is something similar to this manual. So in a single line if I were to define religion I would say, “Religion is nothing but a manual to handle a gadget named human body”. So as we have no. of manufacturer for mobile phones similarly we have no. of religions to suite to different persons as per there wish or choice because every individual is different. But in nutshell every religion teaches you, how to be a good human being and further how to know GOD.
So, by now it is clear that religion is nothing but a manual which directs us in our day to day activities. So in a way the manual associated to a particular handset is its religion. Office manual of any office is its religion. Similarly for a machine a comprehensive list of specifications, maintenance schedule are that machines’ religion. If we don’t follow the instructions the machines may defunct and whole system may collapse.
But as discussed above religion has another dimension also which is associated with GOD. Whenever the concept of GOD comes to our mind, all unknown questions start coming to our mind. So, in a way every religion tries to give the answers to unknown questions. So it’s clear that most of the religions are directed towards spirituality. But if you are spiritual it doesn’t mean that necessarily you belong to a religion. So it’s not necessary to be religious to become spiritual. You can have your own manual or a manual which is compiled by taking all good things from various religions. And further you can create your own religion in this way.
But we must be very sure about one thing that nothing happens without a purpose or logic. Take the example of cell phone, it has many principles and logics on which it is working and it has a purpose. If something goes out of defined logic, error can be seen in that particular set. So there must be a logic working behind a machine which is one of the most advanced and efficient machines of all time and that is human body. And nothing is created without a creator and purpose. So be assured you also belong to a manufacturer and you have a purpose.
How?
What?
Why?
Who?
We will try to deal these big eternal questions, logically as well as illogically. Now in my consequent articles we will try to tackle individual questions on spirituality?
Keep following.............I have many secrets to reveal.........................
Or rather if u have a question we will try to handle that also............just let me know
